SPIN: Turning worker voice into action

SPIN helps health and safety representatives (HSRs) listen to workers, understand work as it is actually done and turn workplace concerns into clear recommendations that leaders can act on.

Using the 4Ds – Dumb, Dangerous, Difficult and Different – you will learn how to ask simple questions and understand the conditions, pressures and system issues affecting workers. You will then use SPIN – Situation, Problem, Impact and Need – to organise what you have heard and build a constructive recommendation for improvement.
