Our journey so far

ShopCare began in 2011 as a working group established under the NZ Food and Grocery Council (FCG) to “drive safety leadership to increase awareness, positively change behaviours, and save lives.” Since then, ShopCare has established itself as an independent charitable trust.

This independence means we are not tasked with delivering direct benefits to members but have a wider remit to improve outcomes for the entire workforce operating within the retail sector and its supply chain.
